Chandrika (Juhi Chawla) is a perceptive and sensitive documentary filmmaker. She is involved in making a film on three death row convicts. Trapped in her own mental conflict, she sets out to explore the psyche of three convicts (Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah and the director Nagesh Kuknoor). She knows more about them than she lets on.
